Dorcas Afo-Toffey pledges to sustain SHS scholarship support in Jomoro

Jomoro MP Dorcas Afo-Toffey has pledged to continue her annual educational support programme for newly admitted Senior High School students beyond her tenure in public office. At the programme's recent ceremony, Madam Afo-Toffey distributed educational materials to 1,000 Form One students across the country. The initiative, now in its sixth year, aims to remove financial barriers that prevent brilliant students from continuing their education.

"Education is the backbone of personal and national development and must be given the desired attention," she emphasized. The support package includes trunks, wooden chop boxes, mattresses, exercise books, and mosquito nets. The MP assured the chiefs and residents of Jomoro that the initiative would persist, with plans to expand the package to cover more beneficiaries in the following year.

The Paramount Chief of the Western Nzema Traditional Area lauded the MP for sustaining a life-changing initiative and noted its significance in the constituency. The Jomoro Municipal Director of Education welcomed the support and pledged cooperation in monitoring the progress of the beneficiaries, urging the students to excel and represent Jomoro well.
