Crow becomes ‘more aggressive’ after nest falls, attacks three passersby near Singapore estate

A crow's nest collapsing outside a Singapore residential estate has reportedly caused the normally placid birds to become more aggressive, leading to three elderly passersby being pecked on the heads. Residents in the area say the crows have been nesting in the vicinity for a while, but since the nest fell, their behavior has changed.

One eyewitness reported that the crows have been making more noise and rummaging through rubbish bins at night. Another business owner confirmed that while the crows had previously disturbed customers in the past, they had never previously pecked at food or caused trouble. Concerned about the safety of residents, the town council collaborated with the National Parks Board (NParks) to remove the nest on September 9.

However, some local residents have taken it upon themselves to mitigate the issue by installing barriers along their corridors, despite having to bear the cost. There are also reports of people feeding the birds, causing worry among residents with health conditions, particularly those with diabetes.
