Bose Sport Open Earbuds Now On SIRIM; Possibly Launching With New Design

In 2021, Bose introduced the Sport Open Earbuds, but discontinued the product just a few years later. However, it seems the brand may be bringing the audio device back with a new version. According to a listing on the SIRIM database, the earbuds could be available in the near future. A leak from the German publication WinFuture further revealed details about the device.

The listing on the SIRIM database shows that the Sport Open Earbuds received approval on September 9, 2026. The leak, originating from WinFuture, suggests that the earbuds will undergo a significant redesign. While maintaining an open-ear form factor, the new version will replace ear hooks with a clip-on build, offering a secure and comfortable fit. The buds will also feature an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and splash.

According to the leak, the earbuds will be available in multiple colors, including black with blue accents and green. They are expected to offer "rich open audio" and feature a Stereo Mode, without noise cancelling, as is typical for open-ear designs. Additionally, the device may include SpeechClarity Tech for improved call quality and support for Google Fast Pair and multipoint connectivity.

The battery life is reported to last seven hours, but drops to four hours when Auto Volume is enabled. The charging case will also support wireless charging.
