Bose just unveiled the successors to some of our favorite open earbuds — and there's even a cheaper option to make Shokz a little, er, shocked

Bose has introduced two new clip-style earbuds, the Ultra Open Earbuds (2nd Gen) and the Sport Open Earbuds. The Ultra Open Earbuds (2nd Gen) are an upgraded version of the previous model, featuring improved bass response, extended battery life, and better spatial audio with Bose TrueSpatial technology. They will retail for £299.95 (approximately $400).

In contrast, the Sport Open Earbuds, priced at £179.95 (around $240), serve as a more budget-friendly alternative, offering an IP54 rating and 7 hours of battery life. These buds feature a more traditional clip-style design and lack Bose's TrueSpatial Audio. As for the original Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, they are currently on sale for $200 on Amazon, marking a substantial discount and potentially making them a more affordable choice compared to the Sport Open Earbuds.
