Bengaluru: Two police officers suspended over video showing them collecting cash

Two policemen in Bengaluru's East Division have been suspended following a video showing them accepting money from a shopkeeper in K.G. Halli. The incident was captured on camera by a passerby, who confronted the officers in uniform who were riding a motorcycle. The shopkeeper's identity remains unknown. When questioned by the video recorder, the policemen reportedly left the scene without providing any explanation.

Subsequently, the Divisional Commissioner of Police (DCP) ordered an inquiry into the matter, leading to the officers being placed under suspension and subject to departmental proceedings. The DCP announced these actions on social media platform X.
