Beed-Pune Daily Train Service Set To Begin Operations

The Central Railway is set to launch the first daily direct train service between Beed and Pune, enhancing rail connectivity between Maharashtra’s Marathwada region and Western Maharashtra. Inaugurated by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar, the service will commence operations from Beed Railway Station on Thursday. Train No. 01401, the Beed-Pune Inaugural Special, will make stops at several key locations before reaching Pune.

The train will feature a mix of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, and General Second Class coaches, along with a Second Seating-cum-Guard’s Brake Van and a Generator Van. The regular service of Train Nos. 11434/11433, the Pune-Beed-Pune Daily Express, will follow shortly. The detailed timings and stoppages for the regular service will be announced separately.

This new service is a direct fulfillment of a longstanding demand for improved rail connectivity between Beed and Pune. It aims to cater to a variety of travelers, including students, traders, daily commuters, patients, and pilgrims. The service promises a safer, more economical travel option, potentially reducing dependence on road transport.

Beyond providing convenience, it is also expected to boost tourism, facilitate agricultural produce movement, and strengthen socio-economic ties between Marathwada and Western Maharashtra.
