“Balde must …”: Hansi Flick sends clear message on United target’s future

Manchester United's pursuit of Alejandro Balde may have ended in disappointment this summer, but the club remains interested in the Spanish left-back for the winter transfer window. United is searching for a new left-back to fill the shoes of Luke Shaw, who has entered the final year of his contract. Balde, 22, has been a first-team regular for Barcelona over the past season but lost his starting position after a summer where he was benched for the first five games.

He returned to action recently, making his first appearance of the season against Racing Santander. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has expressed satisfaction with Balde's efforts in training and acknowledged that the player is frustrated by his reduced playing time. The Red Devils have received interest from other clubs, including United, Liverpool, and Inter Milan, and Balde's market value is estimated at €40 million. United could revisit their interest in Balde once the transfer window reopens in January.
