Anwar, KJ, Onn Hafiz antara calon PM paling menonjol, menurut kajian

Anwar Ibrahim, Khairy Jamaluddin and Onn Hafiz Ghazi emerged as three of the most prominent candidates for Malaysia's Prime Minister position in a recent Vodus Research study. Conducted on 1,482 Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above from August 18 to September 1, the survey revealed that Anwar received the highest level of approval at 46%, with 34% selecting him as their top choice. Known to 93% of respondents, Anwar's name recognition is the highest among the three.

The study indicated stronger support for Anwar in East Malaysia, with 41% of respondents from there favoring him as their top choice, compared to 28% from the Peninsula. For each candidate, different factors garnered their support, such as former Health Minister Khairy being seen as a strong and capable alternative. Strong leadership, clear vision for the nation, and trust were the primary factors cited for Anwar's support (32%), though his second-place ranking was lower.

Onn Hafiz Ghazi, a former Johor Menteri Besar, attracted significant support based on confidence in his leadership, trustworthiness, and ability to drive the economy. However, his national recognition stands at 42%, indicating room for growth in his nationwide profile. Meanwhile, former Economic Minister Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar of Terengganu received high marks for integrity, good governance, and economic growth potential.

Former Economic Affairs Minister Rafizi Ramli, on the other hand, faced a 20% rejection rate, impacting his overall support.
