Yamal leads Barcelona lineup against Racing Santander in La Liga
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has named his starting XI to face Racing Santander in La Liga on Wednesday.
Lamine Yamal is in a scoring frenzy for Barcelona, matching a remarkable feat. The 19-year-old has already netted six times in the league's first five matches, including three brace performances. Yamal joined Lionel Messi as the only players to achieve three brace feats in the first five rounds of La Liga since the 21st century began.
Messi accomplished this in the 2012-2013 season. Yamal's latest brace against Levante extended an already remarkable scoring run. Before that match, he scored twice against Rayo Vallecano, twice against Valencia and once against Feyenoord in the Champions League. Now at 19, Yamal is entering a season where expectations are high.
He has shown a versatile attacking game, scoring in different ways and against various opponents. Racing Santander will face Barcelona next, and Yamal would break a personal record by scoring five consecutive competitive matches with a goal.
