USA TODAY Sports expanding high school coverage to Florida academies

The USA TODAY Florida Network is set to revolutionize high school sports coverage in Florida by adding elite sports academies to their portfolio. Beginning this academic year, the network will feature stories, videos, and photo galleries from IMG Academy in Bradenton, DME Academy in Daytona Beach, and Montverde Academy in Montverde, home to some of the country's top high school athletes.

This comprehensive coverage will move beyond basic statistics to share the personal stories of standout players, coaches, and teams from these prestigious academies. In the future, the network plans to expand its coverage to include other key local newsroom elements like Athlete of the Week, Play of the Month, and Player of the Year.
