Tuanku Muhriz no longer Negeri Sembilan ruler, says state exco

In April, four purported undangs declared Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir's removal as the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan during a press conference. According to the Negeri Sembilan executive council, this removal was legitimate, making Tuanku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar the new ruler of the state. This news emerged just two days after the Negeri Sembilan Dewan Keadilan dan Undang claimed that Tuanku Muhriz still held the position of ruler, stating that the latest attempt to remove him was invalid.

The Sungai Ujong undang Mubarak Dohak, along with three other undangs, made the announcement at a press conference in April. Two months later, Tuanku Nadzaruddin was officially proclaimed as the 12th Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan during a ceremony at a five-star hotel in Melaka. Last week, the four purported undangs presented a proclamation to remove Tuanku Muhriz as the Yang Dipertuan Besar, signed by the recently appointed menteri besar Ismail Lasim.

However, Ismail later claimed that he had been coerced into signing the proclamation, citing it as invalid.
