Trio of Dolly Parton dolls capture country music icon’s ‘unique style’

Dolly Parton's iconic image and unmistakable wavy locks are being etched into cornfields across the United States and Canada this fall. Twenty farms have constructed large corn mazes in her honor, with proceeds going to her Imagination Library, a charity providing free books to children. Parton passed away on August 25 due to cancer at the age of 80, prompting a wave of tributes including renaming the country music capital's airport in her honor.

Now, her legacy is being celebrated through these immersive landscapes found in a dozen U.S. states and two Canadian provinces, from Alabama to California and Ohio to Texas. Each maze features a trivia game, photo opportunities, and other attractions. Brett Herbst, founder of The Maize Inc., a Utah-based consulting firm, describes Parton as "a true American treasure," noting her profound impact on the world and love for farming.

The company has been designing these mazes for months, aligning with its annual campaign to honor country music legends. Previous honorees include Reba McEntire, Luke Bryan, and Lainey Wilson. Parton, who rose from humble beginnings in rural Tennessee, expressed gratitude to the organizers for supporting her charitable work. Visitors to the mazes, such as Danielle Gallop's family, admire the attention to detail and the joy it brings, with many donning Dolly Parton-themed attire.
