The new Boox e-ink devices get Android 16 out of the box, including Palma 3

Boox has announced three new e-ink devices running Android 16, including the Palma 3. The largest tablet, the Note Air6 C, is available now, while the updated Palma 3 will be released shortly. E-ink devices have gained popularity due to their natural readability and the ability to access Google Play Store apps. Boox's lineup now includes two tablet-sized devices and a compact e-reader, with the Note Air6 C being the only model launching immediately.

This tablet features improved performance, an upgraded refresh rate, and a larger battery. The Note Mini C, an 8.52-inch portable tablet, is not yet available for pre-order but shares many specifications with the larger models. The Palma 3, a refined version of the company's popular compact e-reader, boasts a more durable aluminum frame and a paper-textured rear panel.

Both the Note Air6 C and Note Mini C are priced at $579, while the Palma 3 will launch at $339. Availability details for the Palma 3 and Note Mini C have not been announced yet.
