Telecel CEO Obo-Nai champions integrity in leadership

The Chief Executive Officer of Telecel Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai, has emphasized the importance of leadership that is characterized by excellence, competence, integrity, courage, and a strong sense of responsibility towards society. Addressing the graduation ceremony of Palm University College in Manya Jorpanya, Shai Hills, Ms Obo-Nai encouraged educational institutions to incorporate ethics into their curriculum and reinforce it through practical application.

She highlighted that ethical leaders are needed in Ghana, as investors seek trustworthy partners with their funds and employers recruit individuals not just for their technical skills but also for their judgment, discipline, and character. Ms Obo-Nai stated that while technical expertise may grant entry, integrity ensures trust, brand building, and lasting value.

During the event, Dr Peter Carlos Okantey, the Founder and President of Palm University College, underscored the university's focus on blending intellectual rigor, innovation, and ethical leadership. He urged graduates to uphold the values of integrity, leadership, and excellence to effectively tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

To support these values, Ing. Obo-Nai introduced the "Telecel Award for Excellence and Ethical Leadership," an annual honor given to a graduating student who has demonstrated academic achievement alongside sound judgment, integrity, responsibility, and service during their time at Palm University.
