'Suffering' Spurs will win many games when they finally click, De Zerbi says

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto de Zerbi is optimistic that his team will score more goals and win more matches once they "click," despite a recent 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in the League Cup, which left the North London club winless in four consecutive games. De Zerbi acknowledged the team's struggling form, stating, "We are suffering because the results are our life.

If we lose, we are sorry, we are sad, we are disappointed, we are frustrated." The manager emphasized that the team's performance in the new Premier League season, with just two points from four games, was a challenging start to their project. De Zerbi, who took charge in March, has been supported in the transfer market, with the club spending over £300 million ($404 million) to acquire players like Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Savio, Omar Marmoush, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Despite acknowledging the current struggles, De Zerbi remains confident, stating, "When we make the click … I think we are going to win many games and score many goals." The team's next league match will be against Aston Villa on Saturday.
