Sakaja launches Calif Records Studio to support Nairobi’s upcoming artists

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has inaugurated the Calif Records Containerized Studio in California Ward, a facility aimed at supporting emerging artists and fostering grassroots creative talent. The studio is designed to offer aspiring musicians professional recording and production opportunities as part of the county government's efforts to expand creative arts avenues for young people.

Visitors to the facility will have access to free recording sessions, enabling them to refine their musical skills and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.

The initiative is expected to generate career pathways for Nairobi's youth by promoting talent development and providing a platform for artists seeking to establish sustainable careers in the music industry.
