Resident Evil Creator Shinji Mikami to Be Inducted Into D.I.C.E. Hall of Fame

Resident Evil visionary Shinji Mikami will be honored with induction into the AIAS Hall of Fame later this week. Throughout his 30-year career, Mikami has crafted a roster of beloved franchises such as Devil May Cry, The Evil Within, Hi-Fi Rush, and Ghostwire: Tokyo, all while championing the development of nurturing environments for budding game creators. Currently serving as creative director and CEO at Unbound Inc., Mikami continues to push boundaries in the industry.

In a heartfelt statement, AIAS president Meggan Scavio praised Mikami for his originality and creative vision, declaring him a monumental and influential figure both among fans and developers. Award presenter Goichi Suda51 echoed these sentiments, revealing that it was Mikami who taught him the art of game development, both as a director and a designer. Suda51 expressed his deep honor at being chosen to present the award and shared his excitement for Mikami's innumerable fans and industry peers to witness his induction.

Other recent Hall of Fame inductees include Evan Wells from Naughty Dog, Ted Price from Insomniac Games, Koji Kondo from Nintendo, Tim Schafer from Double Fine Productions, and Connie Booth from PlayStation.
