PABF hosts award ceremony dinner

Karachi witnessed the successful hosting of the Pakistan Australia Business Forum's (PABF) Annual Award Ceremony Dinner. The event, a gathering of prominent business leaders, government officials, and trade representatives from both nations, aimed to celebrate the strengthening of commercial ties between Pakistan and Australia. The prestigious occasion was overseen by Timothy Kane, High Commissioner of Australia to Pakistan, who served as the Patron-in-Chief of PABF.

Kane's participation signified Australia's dedication to fostering economic and trade relations with Pakistan.

PABF Chairman Pervez Madraswala, in his address, emphasized the Forum's unwavering commitment to maintaining active communication channels, even amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This determination was demonstrated through a series of productive webinars held with key entities such as the High Commission of Australia, Austrade, Pakistan Trade Commission Sydney, Pakistan High Commission, and FPCCI officials.

These interactions not only facilitated ongoing dialogues but also paved the way for new avenues of collaboration.

Under the Forum's leadership, PABF orchestrated a delegation of pulses traders from Pakistan to the Gulfood Expo 2025 in Dubai. In collaboration with Austrade, the Forum orchestrated one-to-one business meetings at the Expo, resulting in valuable trade linkages. The ceremony itself was marked by the recognition and awarding of outstanding traders and business leaders who have made significant contributions to Pakistan-Australia trade in sectors such as agriculture, food, education, energy, and technology.
