NK leader's sister dismisses IAEA's denuclearization calls, reiterates nuclear status

Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, dismissed recent international calls for denuclearization as mere "noises" during a statement released by the Korean Central News Agency. Speaking at the IAEA General Conference in Vienna, Kim asserted that North Korea's nuclear status was "absolute." The conference has expressed concern over North Korea's growing nuclear capabilities, urging the country to dismantle its nuclear weapons program in full compliance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The IAEA had released a Safeguards Report highlighting a significant surge in Pyongyang's uranium enrichment capacity and the expansion of its nuclear facilities. Kim's sister's dismissive remarks suggest a steadfast commitment to North Korea's nuclear status, despite the West's repeated attempts to enforce denuclearization.
