“Nigeria is a spoiled child with too many resources” — Patience Ozokwo backs Peter Obi

Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo has expressed her support for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging Nigerians to recognize the country's abundant resources and the need for change. Ozokwo, affectionately known as Mama G, made her remarks at a gathering organized by "Celebrities for Peter Obi," where she discussed her concerns about Nigeria's current state.

Describing the nation as "a spoiled child," Ozokwo lamented that despite possessing the bounty of God's provision, other countries with a fraction of the resources she mentioned would be faring better than they are today.

Furthermore, the actress criticized the concentration of wealth among a select few Nigerians, pointing out that some individuals have amassed fortunes that will provide for their descendants for generations to come. At the same time, many Nigerians continue to struggle with poverty.

Ozokwo urged celebrities to acknowledge their influence through their public image and integrity, calling upon them to use their platforms for the betterment of the country. She emphasized the importance of their faces and integrity, stating, "Celebrities here, what we have, we have our faces. We have our integrity."
