Nahas FDS: KKM nafi tiada wakil pengurusan tertinggi hadir pengebumian mangsa

The Ministry of Health (KKM) dismissed allegations that no senior management figure attended the funeral of the Sarawak air ambulance service (FDS) casualties, stating the claim to be inaccurate and unaccountable. Dr Ismuni Bohari, Deputy Chief of the Health Director-General, clarified that he was present at the scene to comfort the families of the deceased, alongside KKM Deputy Secretary-General Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad and Vice-Chairman of Senawang, to extend their deepest condolences to the FDS team members.

Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, the Health Minister, was represented by Dr Ismuni himself, alongside other high-ranking officials from KKM. Dr Ismuni elaborated that his presence was not only a formality but also a matter of empathy and solidarity, as he is a native of Sarawak and the head of the National Public Health Program. He emphasized that his participation was driven by personal commitment and dedication to the FDS team, whom he greatly admired, in addition to his official duties.

The reporter's assertion that the Health Minister should have personally delivered the last respects to the FDS families at the national level during the funeral, rather than attending the burial in Sarawak, was incorrect and required fact-checking before legal action was considered.
