Nahas FDS: KKM nafi tiada wakil pengurusan tertinggi hadir pengebumian mangsa

Dr Ismuni Bohari, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, clarified that the claim there was no senior management from the Health Ministry (KKM) at the burial of the Nahas helicopter service (FDS) victims is false and not their responsibility. He stressed this needed to be corrected as he himself was present at the scene to comfort the families of the victims in Miri and Kuching, alongside conveying the final respects to the FDS team members who perished.

Dr Ismuni personally attended to the families in Miri and Kuching representing Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and senior KKM management, as well as laying final tributes to his fellow FDS comrades, whom he deeply cherished. Dr Dzulkefly, Deputy Chief of Health Malaysia (Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad in Kota Bharu) and Deputy Chief of Senawang, alongside Dr Ismuni in Miri and Kuching, constituted the senior management's requirement stipulated by KKM, as he explained through a statement on X. Dr Ismuni emphasized his attendance was not only due to his official capacity but also out of humanitarian concern and solidarity with the FDS team, as well as his personal connection as a native Sarawakian and Chief of Public Health Promotion.

He hoped everyone would continue to honor the fallen and provide support and strength to their bereaved families. Yesterday, a news portal claimed the Health Minister should have delivered the final tribute to the FDS family in Sarawak and not attend the national funeral while the burial was being conducted. Dr Ismuni urged the news portal to verify and correct the facts in their reporting before any legal action is taken.
