Gurugram Hit-And-Run Accused Kalyan Bainsla Tried To Flee After Arrest Using Urination Pretext, Got Injured

Kalyan Bainsla, a 33-year-old suspect in a hit-and-run case in Gurugram, allegedly attempted to flee police custody on September 15 after being arrested in Rajasthan. Claiming he needed to urinate, Bainsla fell during his attempt and suffered minor injuries before being apprehended again. He had reportedly gone into hiding following the incident in Gurugram and had allegedly switched off his mobile phone. The accused had also spoken to the media before leaving the area.

Bainsla is accused of allegedly abusing a woman biker and making indecent remarks before striking her with his car on Golf Course Road, throwing her onto the road. He has now been charged with attempt-to-murder under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with stalking and insulting the modesty of a woman, as per police reports.

The incident was captured on CCTV, and police are examining the evidence to determine if the vehicle was driven deliberately towards the biker. The car used in the incident is registered under Bainsla's friend's name, and another person has been detained and questioned in connection with the case. Bainsla's counsel has contested the allegations, claiming the collision was an accident.
