Exco statement shouldn’t be seen as state govt stand, says rep

Pakatan Harapan members in Negeri Sembilan – Teo Kok Seong, J Arul Kumar, and Aminuddin Harun – have dismissed a purported executive council statement announcing the removal of Tuanku Muhriz as the state's ruler. Teo, a former exco member, clarified that the official stance of the state government is typically communicated by the chief minister or the state secretary's office. Therefore, the exco's statement reflects individual opinions and should not be considered as the state government's official position.

J Arul Kumar, the DAP chief in Negeri Sembilan, urged the government to clarify its official stance on Tuanku Muhriz's position as the Yang Dipertuan Besar. He pointed out the contradiction between this statement and the minister's claim that he had no authority to unilaterally remove the ruler. Arul emphasized that contradictory statements could undermine public confidence in the state's administration and stability.

Aminuddin Harun, the predecessor of Aminuddin Harun, appealed for the people of Negeri Sembilan to support Tuanku Muhriz and defend the sovereignty of the constitutional monarchy. However, several Umno exco members published a statement supposedly confirming Tuanku Muhriz's removal, but the minister's office has yet to validate it.
