Moreno's former colleague for ABC 7, the helicopter reporter, expressed her heartbreak, stating, "This is who Eliana was… she was the sweetest human… I'm heartbroken tonight RIP Eliana Moreno." Another California Post reporter mourned the loss of Moreno, describing her as "the best at her job and she loved it."
