The 2026 Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards for Lifetime Achievement will honor eight energy leaders at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel on October 20, 2026. Organized by the Al-Attiyah Foundation, the awards celebrate exceptional contributions to the global energy industry and sustainable development.
The inaugural Young Energy Leader Award will be presented to two emerging leaders whose vision and influence are shaping the future of the energy sector. The other six categories recognize lifetime achievement in advancing the energy industry, strengthening international cooperation, and supporting progress towards a secure and sustainable energy future.
The ceremony will be chaired by Dr Saud bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, who aims to build upon his late father's legacy to further develop the Foundation and its contributions to international dialogue on energy and sustainable development. Since 2015, the Al-Attiyah Foundation has become a respected platform for knowledge exchange and informed discussion, providing analysis and insights into critical challenges and opportunities in the global energy sector.
ExxonMobil is the primary sponsor, and the Foundation's work is supported by influential member organizations such as QatarEnergy, QNB, Shell, ConocoPhillips, Marubeni, Sasol, JTA Holding, Qatar Cool, and the Qatar Free Zones Authority.
