'Education System Failing To Turn Demographic Dividend Into Opportunities,' Says MP Congress Chief Jitu Patwari | VIDEO

Ahead of Rahul Gandhi's Chhatron Ki Goonj programme, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari has criticized India's education system for failing to convert the country's demographic dividend into educational and employment opportunities. Patwari highlighted data from various sources, including NITI Aayog, which shows that over 10 crore youths in the country lack access to higher education, while around 12 crore children do not complete their schooling.

He emphasized that India faces the challenge of a declining youth population due to a falling birth rate, while a large number of children and youths remain unable to access quality education. The Congress leader stressed the need to ensure access to schools for every child, higher education, skill development opportunities for every youth, and employment opportunities.

Patwari also expressed concern about the declining quality of government schools, vacant teacher positions, and a lack of higher education opportunities. The Congress party demanded a white paper on education data, the filling of vacant teaching positions, strengthening infrastructure in government schools and universities, and a clear roadmap from education to employment for children and youths.
