Deputy GMA boss denies alleged links with land guards

Mubarick Masawudu, Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Maritime Authority, has strongly denied any alleged connections to the use of land guards in a dispute at Spintex. Through his legal team, LIMO@LAW, Masawudu emphatically stated that he is "not a party to, nor in any way connected with," the controversy and has never instructed, funded, or taken part in any land-guard activities associated with the situation.

The legal team's response comes in reaction to the circulation of reports titled "Maritime Authority Deputy Director Accused Of Using Land Guards In Spintex Land Dispute." The lawyers emphasized that the article was incorrect and had caused their client to face "public opprobrium, ridicule, and hostility." They firmly asserted that Masawudu "is not a party to, nor in any way connected with," the land dispute mentioned in the reports.

The legal firm criticized the newspaper's actions, stating that it was a serious violation of established journalistic standards. They demanded an unequivocal retraction and apology of the same prominence as the initial publication within seven days. Should the newspaper fail to comply within the given timeframe, the legal team warned of pursuing legal action "without further notice."
