Defense minister attends main phase of strategic command-post exercise

Egypt's Defense Minister Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher participated in the concluding phase of a major strategic command-post exercise conducted within the Third Field Army's area of responsibility. The exercise, which spanned several days, formed an integral part of the combat training regimen for Armed Forces formations and units.

Notable attendees included Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, senior military commanders, as well as representatives from various field armies and military zones.

During the exercise, Zaher delivered a videoconference address to the participating forces, extending greetings and appreciation to them on behalf of the Supreme Commander, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. He engaged in discussions with commanders regarding their execution of missions and decisions made during the management of the operation, acknowledging the outstanding performance and high combat proficiency of the Armed Forces.

Zaher underscored the importance of maintaining the highest levels of combat readiness to ensure the Armed Forces' continued capability to fulfill their assigned missions and responsibilities under any circumstances.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, alongside other senior military commanders, observed one phase of the exercise. This phase encompassed a presentation of activities carried out in previous phases, along with reports and procedures for coordinating cooperation among different specialties. Khalifa also discussed the approach to planning and managing operations, as well as the forces' ability to carry out all assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
