Fiesta Agency is an event planning and entertainment agency based in Kigali, Rwanda. The objective was to create a modern website that embodies the spirit of the brand, displays their services and events, and offers a platform for potential clients to explore what Fiesta does. As development progressed, the website's features expanded beyond initial expectations.
To achieve a visually appealing and interactive design without compromising usability, Fiesta Agency was built using the following stack: React, TypeScript, Vite Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Framer Motion, and Supabase. The platform encompasses various features such as services, events, portfolio, company information, the company's working process, and contact details.
However, creating an aesthetically pleasing frontend was just one aspect of the project. Websites are also required to function properly. To address this, a content management system was developed using Supabase, enabling easy management of events, portfolio items, and media without the need to constantly modify the code. This approach encouraged me to think beyond the interface and consider the website's maintenance and usage after launch.
Additionally, the website was optimized to function seamlessly across different screen sizes. A visually stunning desktop site that becomes unusable on a mobile device is essentially just expensive decoration. Fiesta Agency successfully navigated this challenge, delivering a user-friendly experience for all visitors.
The development process encompassed multiple aspects of a web application, from the user interface and frontend architecture to backend data and content management. This broad exposure allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of web development.
Fiesta Agency is now live and available for viewing at https://fiesta-agency-done.vercel.app/. The website's launch marks the completion of another successful build, paving the way for future projects.
