Bhiwandi Records Peaceful First Ganesh Visarjan Phase As 3,719 Idols Immersed Across Natural Ghats And Artificial Ponds

Bhiwandi witnessed a peaceful initiation of the Ganeshotsav festival on Tuesday, as 3,719 Ganesh idols were immersed across the city, according to civic administration records. The immersion process took place in five administrative divisions, with devotees participating throughout. Civic authorities arranged natural ghats and artificial ponds to accommodate the immersion of the idols.

Out of the 3,719 idols, 3,411 were immersed in natural ghats, while 308 were immersed in artificial ponds. Prabhag Samiti No. 1 led the immersion with 640 idols, of which 637 were submerged in natural ghats and three in an artificial pond. Prabhag Samiti No. 2 followed with 467 immersions, including 431 at natural ghats and 36 in artificial ponds. Prabhag Samiti No. 3 had the highest number of immersions at 2,235 idols, with 2,131 at natural ghats and 104 in artificial ponds.

Prabhag Samiti No. 4 saw 288 immersions, with 212 at natural ghats and 76 in artificial ponds. Prabhag Samiti No. 5 recorded the smallest number of immersions, with all 39 idols being immersed in artificial ponds, as no idols were immersed in natural ghats in this division. The civic administration confirmed that the first phase of immersion proceeded smoothly, with devotees utilizing both natural ghats and artificial ponds for the ritual.
