Apple Releases First iOS 27.2 Beta

Apple has released the first beta of iOS 27.2 for developers to test. This update follows the launch of iOS 27 by just two days. Alongside iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2 beta was also distributed to registered developers. To access the beta updates, developers must opt-in under Settings > General > Software Update and select the "iOS 27" developer beta.

Apple has announced that Siri AI will be available in new languages later this year. These languages may include French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, with support potentially added in iOS 27.2. Additionally, two Apple Intelligence features have been removed from the launch version of iOS 27 and could be reintroduced in iOS 27.2. These features include suggestions in Messages conversations and the ability to automatically fix compromised or weak passwords using AI.

The company is also planning to debut a new Health app experience which might be featured in the beta. Apple is reportedly delaying the release of iOS 27.1 to coincide with the launch of the iPhone Duo. This device, set to release on October 23, will feature a vertical dock, vertical Dynamic Island, new dual-screen app layouts, side-by-side app multitasking, and exclusive Camera app capabilities. Given that the iPhone Duo launch and iOS 27.1 update will coincide, iOS 27.2 is expected to be released during October as well.
