Apple releases beta 1 for watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, more

Apple has launched the first developer beta for watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, and additional updates, marking the beginning of a new cycle of beta releases. Following a summer of testing watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and more, the company announced these updates earlier this week without delay. However, the 27.1 updates were not what we anticipated this time.

Instead, Apple is now distributing developer beta 1 for watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2, visionOS 27.2, and further enhancements. While iOS 27.1 was expected to launch in October ahead of the iPhone Duo, it seems Apple may be ready to deploy iOS 27.2 and associated updates shortly after. We had presumed that iOS 27.1 would concentrate on optimizations for the upcoming iPhone Duo, but there might not be significant changes in that lineup.

It's also possible that Apple could release watchOS 27.1 and related updates without any alterations beyond security enhancements and compatibility with the iPhone Duo.
