Anwar: Malaysia won’t be transit point for shipments supporting Israel’s military, suspicious cargo will be inspected

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed Malaysia's firm stance against the country becoming a transit point for cargo that supports Israel's military operations. In a post on his X account, Anwar stressed Malaysia's commitment to preventing the nation from being used for military aggression or acts against innocent lives.

"We will not allow our country to be used as a conduit for any shipment that supports or contributes to Israel's military capabilities and its atrocities against Palestinians and other innocent lives," Anwar stated. Should any suspicious shipment be detected, it will be subjected to inspection and investigation under Malaysian law, with decisive action taken if a violation is confirmed.

The Prime Minister's remarks come in conjunction with a foreign report highlighting increased scrutiny on shipments bound for Israel.
