AGC: Dropping four charges against Muhyiddin based on evidence, litigation risks; three Jana Wibawa charges remain

KUALA LUMPUR - The Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) has announced that they will no longer pursue four charges against Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin related to Bukhary Equity Sdn Bhd. This decision was made after a thorough evaluation of the evidence, considering its admissibility, the credibility of witnesses, and the potential implications for other ongoing proceedings.

The AGC emphasized that the decision was not a finding that the transactions in question did not occur, but rather a strategic choice considering the overall interests of the prosecution. The remaining three charges against Muhyiddin involve using his position to obtain RM25.3 million in bribes for the Bersatu party from three companies.
