Who is the Daily News Football Player of the Week for Week 1?

The Daily News has announced the nominees for High School Football Player of the Week for Week 1. Anthony Barrasso from Bellingham led the pack with a 60-yard touchdown catch, a 35-yard field goal, four tackles, and an interception against Woburn. Jamie Champa from Lincoln-Sudbury had an impressive performance as the senior quarterback, completing 11 of 19 passes for two touchdowns and adding a rushing touchdown against Chelmsford.

Victor De Oliveira from Algonquin, a senior tight end/running back/defensive end, rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown against Nashoba. Logan Dome from Hudson, the senior quarterback, hit double duty with two passing and two rushing touchdowns against Shrewsbury. Mikey Johansson from Wayland, the senior quarterback, completed 7 of 9 passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns, along with 92 yards and a touchdown on the ground against Hopkinton.

Paul McGrath from Holliston, the senior tight end/defensive end, caught two touchdowns, one from 85 yards and another from 23 yards, and recorded a sack for a safety against Canton. Teddy Oleyer from Dover-Sherborn, the senior wide receiver, had 105 yards on nine carries and a touchdown against Southeastern. Levi Oliveira from Natick, the sophomore running back, scored three rushing touchdowns against Needham.

Shea Paxton from Uxbridge, the junior quarterback, had three passing touchdowns against Maynard. Christian Primpas from Franklin, the junior defensive end/running back, tallied 11 tackles and added 83 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries against Wachusett. Chase Reyes from Auburn, the junior quarterback, threw three touchdowns and had 83 yards on the ground against Blackstone Valley Tech.

Eli Rosenberg from Milford, the senior wide receiver, made five catches for 147 yards and three touchdowns against Framingham.
