Above The Net | Colonel Crawford, Ashland volleyball on a tear

Welcome to Above the Net! This week's report focuses on the top-performing volleyball teams in the area. Colonel Crawford and Ashland volleyball teams have been on an impressive streak, with 11 and 10 consecutive wins respectively, entering the week. Ashland is currently ranked No. 13 in Division III by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association, while Colonel Crawford is leading their conference with an unblemished 5-0 record.

The Ohio Cardinal Conference has Ashland also at 5-0 heading into the final two matches of the season. Meanwhile, Loudonville is 9-1 and ranked 16th in Division VI, while Black River has won seven of their last nine matches after starting the season 0-2. Buckeye Central is 8-2, with their only losses coming against Calvert and Pleasant.

Crestview is also 8-2, having dropped only four sets in their wins. The top two teams in Crawford County are set to face off in a rematch, while other teams are also positioned well in their conferences.
