Who are you to judge my apology, Umno man tells DAP leaders

Sepang Umno chief Noorazli Said responded to criticism from DAP leaders regarding a joke he made at the Umno general assembly. The joke involved a priest and a nun and included a punchline that was mistakenly attributed to Psalm 129 in the Bible. Noorazli fired back at the DAP leaders, asserting that only God could determine a person's sincerity, and that his apology was genuine.

He emphasized that he had no intention of insulting Christians or the clergy. Noorazli cited several Bible verses on forgiveness and mercy, urging his critics to be fair to him. He urged them not to judge his apology based on political evaluations, stating that society cannot achieve peace if every apology must be subjected to such scrutiny.

Noorazli expressed his willingness to learn from the incident and move forward with respect for all religions, as his faith teaches love, tolerance, and forgiveness. He reiterated his readiness to apologize if he had caused any misunderstanding or offended anyone, especially Christians.
