Watch: Boeing 737 cabin ceiling falls apart mid-flight on Sepehran Airlines

A Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 experienced a catastrophic mid-flight incident shortly after taking off from Mashhad airport in Iran. A tire reportedly detached from one of the aircraft's wheels, leading to engine malfunction and intense vibrations, as reported by CNN-News18. The pilot immediately informed passengers about the engine issue, causing the plane to violently shake. In response, the pilots decided to turn back and make an emergency landing at Mashhad, which was successfully executed.

The abrupt shaking caused significant damage to the cabin ceiling and overhead compartments. As a result, passengers' belongings fell from their bins, striking some individuals onboard. Footage circulating on social media depicted passengers praying and expressing fear, believing the aircraft was in grave danger. However, despite the chaotic scene, no injuries were reported among the passengers.

This incident marks the second recent mishap involving a Sepehran Airlines aircraft at Mashhad airport. Earlier, a Jeddah-bound Malaysia Airlines flight had to land in Chennai due to engine failure, and another Alliance Air flight to Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing after facing engine issues. The plane wreckage and its aftermath have drawn comparisons to previous aviation emergencies, including a harrowing incident where a Ryanair passenger nearly fell out of a window due to engine debris shattering the cabin.
