Visit Qatar signs a memorandum of understanding with FUN&SUN to launch tourist flights from Russia

Doha, Qatar - Qatar Tourism has signed a memorandum of understanding with TT-Travel LLC, also known as FUN&SUN, to launch tourist flights from Russia. This partnership, reached at the Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai, UAE, is set to commence in October. The agreement aims to enhance direct air connectivity between Russia and Qatar, supporting the growth of leisure travelers from Russia.

Under the partnership, a dedicated charter flight program will be implemented, connecting several Russian airports directly to Hamad International Airport in Qatar. The initiative is expected to attract over 22,000 Russian tourists to Qatar during the winter season of 2026-2027, particularly from Moscow and Yekaterinburg.

This collaboration will not only focus on direct flights but also on promoting comprehensive holiday packages. These packages will include hotel and beach resort accommodations, sightseeing tours, and diverse cultural experiences, offering travelers from Russia a wider range of options. Both parties will work on a joint marketing campaign in major Russian cities to raise tourism awareness and increase sales of travel packages.

Additionally, the partnership will involve organizing virtual training seminars for tourism companies, incentive programs for travel agencies, and promotional trade tours. These activities will be supported by FUN&SUN's extensive network of more than 600 partner travel agencies across Russia. This strategic partnership aligns with Visit Qatar's strategy to diversify international visitor markets, expand direct air connectivity, and increase Qatar's share in the luxury leisure tourism sector.
