Sentuo Airport Garden City project to create jobs, boost local industry – Trade Minister

Ghana's Trade Minister, Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare, announced on Tuesday, September 15 that the Sentuo Airport Garden City project will generate employment opportunities and stimulate local industries. Speaking at the project's groundbreaking ceremony in Accra, the minister highlighted the significance of the development, which follows the commissioning of Phase Two of the Sentuo Oil Refinery in June.

The project, described as a testament to Sentuo's confidence in Ghana as an investment destination, will create jobs across various sectors, including construction, engineering, hospitality, retail, and facility management. For the minister, the scale of the project presents real opportunities across multiple industries. Furthermore, the development will benefit local businesses by facilitating their participation in the supply chain, from construction materials to furnishings and services.

The minister emphasized that the project would enhance Ghana's capacity to host major international events, positioning Accra as a top destination in the sub-region. The minister also praised President John Mahama for fostering an environment conducive to business growth, attributing the project's optimism to his supportive role in promoting industry and investment.
