Hamzah Zainudin, the President of the National Vision Party (Wawasan), has called for a more equitable interpretation of national unity in Malaysia. In his remarks on Malaysia Day, he emphasized that national progress should not be solely measured by growth figures, but should also have tangible impacts on people's lives. "We aspire for a Malaysia that is more united, more content, and more successful," he stated.

"A nation that not only pursues growth figures but ensures that advancement is genuinely felt by the people, by ensuring that national unity is translated more fairly," he added.

Zainudin, who also leads the opposition, proposed the concept of 'RESET Malaysia.' This does not mean rejecting existing structures, but rather improving what is not working, stopping harmful actions, and rebuilding what is needed for the future. He believes that despite differences in ethnicity, religion, state, and political views, Malaysians should have a common ground on the form of Malaysia they wish to build and pass on to future generations.

The three pillars of this initiative, according to him, are shared goals, shared prosperity, and humane governance.

For shared prosperity, Zainudin wants economic benefits to reach all parts of the country through more job opportunities, increased household income, and a higher quality of life for the people. He also stressed that the government's power must be used for service, not just rule, while each foundation must take into account the reality of people's lives.

"Our homes always need to be maintained, repaired, and strengthened. The future of this home is our shared responsibility," he stated, referring to Malaysia as a home for all its people.
