Haji Hamzah Zainudin has urged for a more equitable interpretation of national unity in Malaysia's progress, emphasizing that economic growth alone is not sufficient. In a recent statement on Malaysia Day, the President of the Vision Negara Party highlighted that national advancement should genuinely impact the lives of the people.

He stressed that Malaysia should strive for a more united, contented, and successful nation. This approach, he argued, must be complemented by balanced development between states and territories, broader economic opportunities, and greater concern for the public's needs. Additionally, Hamzah introduced the concept of "RESET Malaysia," which he does not see as rejecting existing structures but rather repairing ineffective ones, stopping harmful practices, and rebuilding necessary components for the future.

Despite Malaysia's diversity in ethnicity, religion, state, and political views, Hamzah believes that people need a common ground regarding the kind of Malaysia they wish to build and pass on to future generations. He outlined three principles as the foundation of this effort: shared goals, shared prosperity, and humane governance.

For shared prosperity, Hamzah wants economic benefits to reach all parts of the country through more job opportunities, increased household income, and a better life for the populace. He also stressed that the government must serve, not just govern, and that every foundation must consider the reality of people's lives. "Our homes must always be maintained, repaired, and strengthened.

The future of this home is our shared responsibility," he concluded, referring to Malaysia as a home for all its citizens.
