Real reason Gov Hope Uzodinma is fighting me – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has revealed the true reason Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, is currently opposing him. During an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time,’ Wike stated that several members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered money from Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, but failed to endorse him for a second term.

The APC governors have insisted they will not support any 'rainbow coalition.' Wike reacted by saying, "Uzodinma was the governor of Imo State, but Tinubu was not able to get 10% of the votes from his state. Even in Ebonyi State, the same thing happened." Wike explained that the issues he is currently experiencing are not new; they began with the ministerial position.

He added that APC governors are unhappy that he was appointed the Minister of FCT. During his disagreement with Governor Fubara, the APC misled his governor and prevented him from securing a second term. Wike questioned whether the lack of support for the President in the National Assembly elections in Ebonyi, Abia, and Enugu States, where the President did not receive ten percent of the votes, was also part of the 'Rainbow Coalition.'
