Pune: Woman Allegedly Forced Into Tantrik Ritual Involving Husband’s Private Parts, Five Booked

In Pune, India, a 29-year-old married woman claims she was subjected to mental and physical abuse in the name of removing her husband's "Mangal dosh". The alleged abuse took place between May 11 and August 9, 2026. The woman's husband reportedly took her to a self-styled godman who advised them to perform certain rituals to remove the purported "Mangal dosh".

According to the woman, she was forced to drink water mixed with sacred ash, apply turmeric and vermilion, and perform a ritual involving her husband's private parts. Her family believed the ritual had removed the "Mangal dosh", but the woman claims her husband subsequently refused to take her back home. She alleges that she was abused and assaulted when she opposed the rituals and questioned her husband and in-laws' actions.

Furthermore, she claims her family was financially cheated and that the marriage was primarily intended for performing rituals to remove her husband's alleged "Mangal dosh". Pune police have registered a case against five members of the woman's in-laws' family, including her husband. The investigation is underway, and the allegations are yet to be established through legal proceedings.
