Permohonan maaf saya ikhlas, Noorazli beritahu pemimpin DAP

Pemimpin Umno Sepang, Noorazli Said, questioned the leadership of the DAP over their claim that his request for an apology for his "insipid" joke about a Catholic priest and nurse was not sincere. Noorazli emphasized that only God knows what is in a person's heart, and whether an apology is genuine or not. He reiterated that his apology was sincere and did not intend to insult Christian followers, priests or nurses.

Noorazli admitted he had mistakenly quoted Psalm 129 from the Bible and apologized for that. He called on those who criticized him to show fairness and treat him with kindness. Noorazli then shared Bible verses to promote forgiveness, compassion and mutual forgiveness, urging his critics to be fair to him. He stressed that one cannot discuss love and tolerance one moment and then quickly become judges of someone's sincerity the next.

He questioned at what point society would learn to forgive each other. Noorazli did not ask anyone to forget what happened, only to learn from it and move forward with respect for all religions, as his religion teaches love, tolerance and forgiveness. He hoped those who criticized him would be willing to do the same. DAP Sepang branch chairman Lee Chin Chen criticized Noorazli's apology, stating that requesting an apology for perceived offense and asking for forgiveness are two entirely different things.
