National Lok Adalat Resolves Over 37,000 Cases Across Pune District

Pune witnessed the resolution of over 37,000 cases during a National Lok Adalat, organized under the auspices of the National Legal Services Authority and the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority. The Lok Adalat, held across Pune district and all taluka courts, facilitated amicable settlements for both pending court matters and pre-litigation disputes.

A staggering 2.59 lakh cases were submitted for resolution, of which 37,687 disputes were successfully concluded through mutual agreement. Noteworthy cases encompassed civil and criminal matters, cheque dishonour claims, motor accident compensation, family disputes, bank recovery, land acquisition, and electricity-related disputes.

The Lok Adalat provided litigants with a platform to resolve conflicts amicably, saving them considerable time, effort, and legal expenses. The process also helped maintain harmony in various dispute domains. The event saw active participation from judicial officers, advocates, banks, insurance companies, government departments, and litigants, who all contributed to its successful execution.
