NASA Invites Media to International Observe the Moon Night

NASA will welcome journalists to an International Observe the Moon Night event, taking place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. CST on Saturday, September 19, at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This annual celebration honors the Moon, its scientific significance, and its influence on space exploration and human culture. The free public gathering will feature NASA experts presenting talks on lunar science and exploration, with a focus on observations made by the Artemis II crew during their April mission.

Coverage will require arriving at the Davidson Center. Parking for journalists will be available at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Activities that can be covered include interactive STEM activities, a science stage show, a photo booth, and face-painting. The Von Braun Astronomical Society will be present with telescopes, offering guided tours of the Moon, planets, and other celestial bodies.
