N130m land fraud allegation politically motivated – Ex-Lagos deputy gov

Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Alhaja Sinatu Ojikutu, has dismissed the N130m land fraud allegation against her as politically motivated, alleging that the controversy arose from a land agent's error rather than a deliberate act of fraud. According to Ojikutu, the misidentification of a land belonging to her late husband led to the confusion, while her son was unfairly dragged into the controversy without his knowledge.

The former deputy governor claims that the N120m controversy was exploited for political gain ahead of an election, and that efforts were made to damage her reputation due to her opposition to corrupt practices.
