Measures Against Climbing Mt. Fuji in Off-season Announced by Yamanashi Governor; Implementation Eyed for September 2027
The Yamanashi prefectural government will impose fees on those rescued by a prefectural helicopter while attempting to climb Mt. Fuji during the off-season and make the submission of climbing registration forms mandatory during that period, Yamanashi Gov. Kotaro Nagasaki announced Monday.
